Tilth Alliance has created a new Bridge Fund to help expand access to the Climate Smart Farm Equipment Grant (CSFEG) offered by the Washington State Dept. of Agriculture. Farmers who may face financial barriers to making upfront equipment purchases can apply for Tilth Alliance’s Bridge Fund. Funding will be available for equipment purchases of up to $100,000.

If you are interested in applying for the Climate Smart Farm Equipment Grant but the reimbursement structure presents a challenge, we encourage you to apply now. CSFEG applications are reviewed and awarded on a first-come first-served basis. Farms approved through the CSFEG process will also be eligible for Tilth Alliance’s Bridge Funds, contingent upon a successful, low-barrier application.

About The Climate Smart Farm Equipment Grant

Washington’s farms feed the world and sustain our communities. The Climate Smart Farm Equipment Grant supports Washington producers in this important work, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving soil health, and increasing Washington agriculture’s resilience. Funded by Washington’s Climate Commitment Act, this program reimburses commercial agriculture and aquaculture operations for a portion of the cost of eligible equipment used in on-farm production.

Up to $4.3 million is available on a first-come, first-served basis for Fiscal Year 2026.
