Executive Director

We are pleased to share that we are beginning a search for Tilth Alliance’s next Executive Director to steward our organization and food system into the future.

As an organization with a fifty-year legacy of food system work across Washington State, our new Executive Director will be an impactful voice in the future of food justice. How we eat and produce food, and relate to the land and each other has never been more important. We’re looking for a leader to support us in rising to meet this moment.

We are a collaborative organization. We’re looking for a leader who can hold a clear, high-level vision, while also rolling up their sleeves to work alongside staff, board, and community members. With a strategic plan in place, and a passionate, committed staff and board, the new Executive Director will be able to build from a solid foundation to support our continued work towards a more just and sustainable food system for all of Washington.

Our board has begun accepting applications and will be interviewing candidates on a rolling basis, starting in August. Our current Executive Director, Melissa Spear, has agreed to stay on until we find the right fit. The position will remain open until filled, with a target start date of January 2027.
