Produce at the Farm Stand in Rainier Beach
Volunteer With Us

Increase Food Access

We believe everyone deserves healthy, nutritious food. Help our Market Team pack and distribute fresh, locally- and sustainably-grown produce to members of our community – and support local farmers at the same time!

Pack Good Food Bags

Volunteers help pack Good Food Bags — weekly bags of fresh, sustainably-grown produce, sourced from local farmers or is grown on site at Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands. Bags are distributed to preschoolers and their families, seniors, and other community members. The program runs year-round with occasional breaks between seasons. Volunteers sometimes go home with excess or imperfect produce! Please note that due to the detail-oriented nature of bag packing to ensure food safety, quality, and consistency, these shifts are not suitable for volunteers under the age of 12, and volunteers 12-16 should be accompanied by an adult.

Support the Farm Stand

Our pay-what-you-can Farm Stand brings fresh, local food to our community June-September, as well as during off season pop up markets. Primary duties include weighing and packing produce from bulk quantities into retail units while following food safety guidelines. Volunteers should be able to stand for the duration of their shift, bend, and safely lift at least 30 pounds.
