Produce at the Farm Stand in Rainier Beach
Volunteer With Us

Increase Food Access

We believe everyone deserves healthy, nutritious food. Help our Market Team pack and distribute fresh, locally- and sustainably-grown produce to members of our community – and support local farmers at the same time!

Pack Good Food Bags

Volunteers help pack Good Food Bags — weekly bags of fresh, sustainably-grown produce, sourced from local farmers or is grown on site at Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands. Bags are distributed to preschoolers and their families, seniors, and other community members. The program runs year-round with occasional breaks between seasons. Volunteers sometimes go home with excess or imperfect produce!

Support the Farm Stand

Our pay-what-you-can Farm Stand brings fresh, local food to our community June-September. On Tuesdays, volunteers can support the summer Farm Stand by weighing, packing, and sorting produce. On Thursdays, volunteers help set up the stand in the earlier shift and help pack everything up in the later shift. Opportunities to volunteer are also available with the Pop-up Farm Stand at the Edible Plant Sale in May and during the Winter Market in December.
