Gardeners

Classes

Gain new skills and knowledge through our hands-on classes!

In our adult education program, we work to inspire people to (re)connect with their food through meaningful and enjoyable experiences growing, preparing and enjoying food together. We offer a variety of classes on topics such as vegetable gardening, food preservation and cooking, permaculture, and urban livestock.

Our expert instructors are passionate about the topics they teach and prepare participants to apply new methods outside the class. We emphasize experiential learning and provide people a chance to learn from one another, practice their skills, and gain hands-on experience whenever possible.

We offer a mix of online, in-person and hybrid online/in-person classes. Please review our current COVID-19 safety policies before registering for classes.

Equity & Accessibility

Tilth Alliance strives to provide educational experiences that honor our values of accessibility and equity. Currently, we offer:

  • A sliding scale pricing structure to make classes accessible for everyone, regardless of financial means. When registering, please select the ticket type that works for you.
  • In solidarity with food justice and food sovereignty for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), we reserve spaces in each class for BIPOC community members free of charge. If you identify as BIPOC, and would benefit from a free option, please select the BIPOC Solidarity ticket.

Please reach out to Marni Sorin if you have any questions.
