Help our instructors as they lead hands-on courses designed to inspire participants to grow food and learn in community. This opportunity requires a one-hour training session.
Our expert instructors are passionate about the topics they teach and prepare participants to apply new methods outside the class. We emphasize experiential learning and provide people a chance to learn from one another, practice their skills, and gain hands-on experience whenever possible.
Class Assistants help Tilth Alliance instructors with the set-up, facilitation and clean-up of these courses. Courses are held on weeknights and Saturdays at a variety of our community learning gardens. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to volunteering in about 3-4 class per year and ideally commit to this volunteer position for the whole year. To get started, please read the Class Assistant Volunteer Job Description and sign up for one of the required training sessions below.
