Asha Nelson is retired and currently volunteers with the Beacon Food Forest and Habitat for Humanity. She also volunteers on occasion with Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands, Bradner Gardens Park, and community food banks. She enjoys gardening and learning about all things related to gardening and permaculture. She completed a permaculture design course in 2021 and continues her studies in classes related to permaculture and gardening.
