Registered Dietitians with Tilth Alliance support more than 20 multicultural senior meal sites throughout the greater Seattle area.
Under a contract with the City of Seattle’s Human Services Department, we provide culturally relevant food safety and nutrition education to senior meal programs, with a focus on those serving immigrant and refugee seniors. Meal programs are open to seniors age 60 and older and provide a place for seniors to be active, eat a nourishing meal and socialize.
Through this work, we also connect produce from local farmers to meal sites and participants, and create farm to table experiences for seniors that celebrate the abundance of local food and farmers.
