A garden is full of color! Join us as we explore a variety of plants that can be grown in the garden to use as dye. There are many plants in the garden that are easy to grow in the Pacific Northwest's climate. This class is geared towards garden educators but is open to everyone. School gardens are a great place to help students understand how they can conserve and protect water. Even though we live in a climate that has a lot of rain, our summers are very dry and have recently become longer and hotter. Our climate is changing and so should our gardening methods. This workshop will: Teachers in Seattle and south King County who attend are eligible to receive a $50 stipend. Teachers are also able to receive 1.5 clock hours.
