Description

What should you do with your plot as the summer comes to an end and fall is in the air? Learn about mulches, cover crops and over-wintering vegetables that will keep your soil healthy during our winter rainy season. We will discuss soil testing, planting and managing cover crops, and other soil building activities appropriate for P-Patch gardeners during the fall.

This online session will include a conversational lecture with a slideshow presentation, and plenty of time for Q&A with the instructor.

*Please note that this class is intended for P-Patch gardeners. Registration is only necessary if you plan to attend the live, online class – a recording will be shared out with all P-Patch gardeners.

About the Instructor

Marni Sorin
Marni has worked as a farmer, a gardener, and an environmental educator over the last 15 years – spending time with plants and people outside is what brings her joy. In her role at Tilth Alliance, she manages the adult education program, teaches gardening classes, and cares for the Good Shepherd Center Learning Garden, along with our community volunteers.
