Description
Cooking and eating seasonal food can be a practice that brings joyful attunement to nature and her rhythms. It can also be a great way to support local food producers and help to reduce our environmental impact. Join us for a fun and interactive workshop celebrating creative ways to incorporate seasonal foods on your plate!
In this class, we will:
- Discuss the impacts of our food system and incentives to improve it
- Address common barriers to seasonal eating
- Learn tips and tricks to adapt recipes throughout the seasons
- Share ideas and resources for planning meals using locally grown ingredients
This class will include group discussion, a tour through the garden, a menu planning exercise and a hands-on cooking demonstration and tasting. Class size is limited to about 15 people, and we will be following current public health recommendations. Please dress for the weather.
