Description

Our water rich region is undergoing a variety of changes due to climate change. Our summers are getting drier, our storms wetter and winter snowpack less accountable. In this workshop with Jake Harris of Stone Soup Gardens, we will look at methods for managing, collecting and efficiently utilizing water at home.

In this class, we’ll discuss:

  • Techniques and best practices for rain gardens, cisterns, greywater, waterwise irrigation, and water management
  • How to restore our collective watershed and provide habitat
  • Ways to capture rainwater and reuse home water
  • Strategies to reduce water use
  • Water redirection and systems management

This in-person class will take place indoors and include a conversational presentation, show & tell, and time for questions and answers with the instructor. Class size is limited to about 15 people, and we will be following current public health recommendations.
