Get ready to grow tasty and nutritious tomatoes, peppers and other heat-loving crops! Fresh summer veggies are some of the most delicious treats, but they can be tricky to grow in our cool summers. This in-person class will teach you how to get a successful harvest from these warm weather crops.

In this class you will learn about:

  • Key practices for success in growing heat crops
  • Techniques for trellising and pruning to improve harvest and resilience
  • Strategies for navigating pest and disease issues
  • Tips for watering, fertilizing, harvesting and plant care through the summer

Class will include a conversational lecture and hands-on activities – participants will leave with a set of comprehensive resources for continued learning. Class size is limited to about 15 participants, and we will be following current public health recommendations.
