Did you know that some plants grow better together? You can improve the health and productivity of your garden by choosing plants that work together as companions, rather than compete for resources. Join us for an introduction to the many ways that you can combine plants to maximize your harvest and make the most of your space!
Learn about:
- Companion planting and different types of relationships between plants
- Incorporating perennial plants into your annual food garden
- The permaculture concept of “plant guilds”
- Examples of companion planting, inter-planting and polyculture.
This class will feature an interactive lecture with slide show and time for questions and answers with the instructor. A detailed outline with recommended resources will also be provided. We will be using Zoom for this class, which you can use on your computer or phone.
