Description
Wondering how you can enjoy the flavors of summer throughout the year? Join us to learn how to make the most of your garden bounty and learn about methods you can try at home to preserve the harvest.
In this workshop, we’ll discuss:
- Food safety considerations for food preservation
- Equipment needed and basic steps for various methods of preservation
- Resources available to help you preserve safely and successfully
This in-person class will take place indoors, with a combination of show-and-tell, conversational lecture and some taste testing. Class size is limited to about 15 people, and we will be following current public health recommendations. Cost of class includes materials – you will take a small sample home.
