Calling young artists and nature lovers!
Join us as we explore the world of natural pigments and dyes using plants growing in the garden to create our palette. In this 3-week, hands-on after school program, students will:
- Mindfully source our inspiration and materials from the natural world.
- Deepen our knowledge around plant technology and how plants can be used for natural dye, such as Japanese Indigo, Marigold, Beets and more.
- Cultivate a deeper connection to our botanical world by following the journey of our natural colors, from petal to pigment!
- At the end of each class, campers will take home their own plant-dyed tote bag, tea towel, and handkerchief.
