Description

Let’s learn about the power of plants! Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands is home to a wide array of plant species, from towering oak trees, to wondrous wetland plants, to wild edible and medicine plants. We will spend the week getting to know them all through art, cooking, tea-making and naturalist activities. Campers will come away from this program with greater knowledge of Western Washington’s plant species and a deeper understanding of the many amazing roles that plants play in our daily lives. Throughout the program, we will develop our reciprocal relationship with the garden, learn about plant and animal knowledge, and practice caring for the garden as the garden cares for us.

If your child has a 2:10 p.m. early release on Wednesdays, we have a one-hour late start (3-5 p.m.) discount available. Please email youthprograms@tilthalliance.org for more information about the discount before registering.
