Junior counselors will participate in camp activities while providing mentorship and leadership for campers.
Please arrive 15 minutes early on Monday for a short site orientation.
This week’s camp description:
Calling all budding herbalists! This spring break camp is all about the wonderful world of medicinal herbs and plants. Let’s connect with the many different plant allies found on our farm and in our wetlands, learning all that they can teach us.
In our week together, we will:
- Use all five senses to strengthen and build our plant identification skills.
- Forage and harvest medicinal plants to create restorative teas, healing salves, herb bundles, and other botanical creations.
- Learn stories and traditions of medicinal plants by honoring the shared knowledge of indigenous communities, the original stewards of our land.
- Gain a deeper understanding of reciprocity in nature and our relationship with the natural world through garden care and stewardship.
This camp will include both outdoor and indoor activities. Participants will take their handmade creations home.
