Create delicious, healthy probiotic foods and extend your garden’s bounty with fermentation.  Fermented foods can help you absorb more nutrients, support your immune system and add homemade flair to your everyday meals. Find out how easy it is to make your meals more delicious, nutritious and unique with homemade fermented foods!

In this class we will:

  • Learn the basics of food microbiology and meet a few of the critters that can transform your raw produce into probiotic superfoods
  • Survey the spectrum of fermented foods including veggies, dairy, beverages and vinegars
  • See, smell and taste some of these foods and review their health benefits
  • Make sauerkraut together in class that you will take home to ferment

This in-person class will include a conversational lecture and hands-on activities in the kitchen, so come prepared to get cooking. Class size is limited to about 15 people, and we will be following current public health recommendations.

*Cost of class includes supplies – you will take a small sample home.
