Description

Did you know that vinegar is made with fermented fruits? It’s true! Learn how to turn local bounty like apples and grapes into tasty ferments that can be added to a wide range of recipes. We will explore the basics of fermentation, discuss troubleshooting fermented recipes, taste test various vinegars, and send class participants home with their own batch of vinegar to ferment.

In this class we will:

  • Provide an introduction to fermentation
  • Take a deep dive into vinegar production
  • Taste test fruit vinegars and infused vinegars
  • Make a recipe to take home for fermenting

This in-person class will take place indoors, with a combination of show-and-tell, conversational lecture and some taste testing. Class size is limited to about 15 people, and we will be following current public health recommendations.

*Cost of class includes supplies – you will take a vinegar starter home.
