Description

Do you love spicy fermented foods? Come learn how to make your own hot sauces, spicy krauts and more. In this class we will explore fermentation methods to capture the heat of summer in a jar to enjoy for months to come.

In this workshop, we’ll discuss:

  • Food safety considerations for fermented foods
  • Equipment needed and basic recipes for spicy ferments
  • Resources available to help you create flavor explosions

This in-person class will take place indoors, with a combination of show-and-tell, hands-on activities, conversational lecture and some taste testing. Cost of class includes supplies – you will take a small sample home. Class size is limited to about 15 people, and we will be following current public health recommendations.
