Handmade in the Garden (Wallingford)
Description
Under the open sky, we are gifted with nature’s finest materials for art and craft. From delicate flowers to smooth pebbles and the abundance of leaves, every being tells a story. Each Thursday, join us as we create our own stories from the gifts of plants! Together, we will:
- Explore the world of classic art and natural crafting through weaving, natural dyeing, plant pressing, and other nature inspired handmade works!
- Create both practical and artistic wonders that celebrate the harmony between art and nature using natural materials and a variety of art mediums.
- Cultivate a deeper connection to our botanical world through healing agents such as salves, teas and more.
This class will be held mostly outdoors with some indoor instructional time for crafting and in the case of inclement weather or to account for daylight saving time. Participants will also explore and care for the garden in addition to crafting and creating. Class size is limited to 15 participants, and we follow current health guidelines.
