Description

Step into the wonderful world of wildlife! In this 7-week series, students will explore the wildlife at the Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands and discover how our farm and wetlands change with the season. Together, we will:

  • Learn to identify different plants and animals through activities like bird watching, leaf and plant rubbing, wildlife bingo, and much more!
  • Explore the importance of pollinators, creating pollinator inspired art and movement.
  • Take a closer look at bug friends in our soil.
  • Gain a deeper understanding of habitats and ecosystems and how they change with the season.
  • Strengthen our stewardship and naturalist skills through planting, habitat restoration, and plant identification.

About Our Youth Programs

Program happens rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and for a hands-on garden/farm day – warm layers, closed toed shoes, and rain gear on rainy days. Each day, children bring a water bottle and snack to be prepared for an active camp day. Check out some Frequently Asked Questions.

Scholarships

Tilth Alliance strives to educate all children regardless of their financial means. All youth programs include reduced price tickets. If a reduced price ticket is still not affordable, we encourage you to apply for a scholarship.
