Description

Get a head start on spring and summer by growing your organic vegetables and annual flowers indoors now! Save money, grow varieties you can’t find in stores and enjoy the experience of growing your own plant starts. If you have grown a few vegetables successfully in your garden, then you are ready to take on indoor seed starting.

In this class you will learn about:

  • Supplies needed for setting up your indoor growing space
  • Planting and caring for vegetable seeds and seedlings
  • Organic practices not requiring synthetic chemicals
  • How to harden off and transplant your little plants

This in-person class will take place indoors, with a combination of show-and-tell, lecture and hands-on practice seeding. A detailed outline with recommended resources, will also be provided. The session will be in a room with an air filter and with windows and doors open for good ventilation. Class size is limited to 16 people, and we will be following current public health recommendations.
