Herbal teas can be a warm cup of comfort in the winter or a cool refreshment in the summer. Learn how easy it can be to grow, dry and prepare your own healthful and flavorful herbs for tea from your garden.
In this class we will:
- discuss flavor profiles and medicinal benefits of plants like chamomile, mints, lavender and raspberry leaf
- learn different methods for infusion and when to use them
- tour the garden to meet and interact with plants for tea that grow well in our climate
- practice blending dried herbs and filling tea bags to take home
This in-person class will take place outdoors and will include a conversational lecture, a garden tour and time for questions with the instructor. Class size is limited to 15 people, and we will be following current public health recommendations.
