Dried Floral Wreath Workshop
Description
Interested in learning to make your own dried floral wreaths? Everlasting wreaths make a wonderful decoration or gift year round. Growing your own material for drying means adding color and food for pollinators to your garden, and cost savings for your crafting.
In this class, you will:
- Learn about plants you can grow in your garden and dry at home
- Get tips on drying flowers and other materials
- Plan and assemble your own dried floral wreath
This class will be held in person at Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands and will include a short presentation followed by a hands on wreath-making workshop. All participants will take home a wreath, seeds, and tips for growing and assembling dried wreaths in the future. Materials and tools will be provided, though bringing your own hand pruners and/or wire cutters is encouraged.
This in-person workshop will take place both mostly indoors, in a room with air filters and doors open for good air circulation. Class size is limited to 12 people, and we will be following current public health recommendations. Please dress for the weather and activities.
*Class cost includes $25 materials fee for dried flower creations you’ll take home.
