Description

Looking to get your little one excited about gardening? Let us practice our investigative skills in the garden and find out what is going on in the world below our feet. Good soil is one of the most important parts of any successful garden, and together we will learn all about compost and how it helps the garden grow. We will also get to meet the hardworking, hungry worms that make the soil so fertile and perfect for plants. Participants will leave with some crafts made with materials from the garden as well plenty of ideas for how to practice gardening at home with your little ones. Parents or guardians garden with their child guided by Tilth Alliance staff. Snack is included.

About Our Youth Programs

Program happens rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and for a hands-on garden/farm day – warm layers, closed toed shoes, and rain gear on rainy days. Each day, children bring a water bottle and snack to be prepared for an active camp day. Check out some Frequently Asked Questions.

Scholarships

Tilth Alliance strives to educate all children regardless of their financial means. All youth programs include reduced price tickets. If a reduced price ticket is still not affordable, we encourage you to apply for a scholarship.
