In this workshop you will:
- Learn fundamentals about what compost is and how to use in new and existing gardens
- Take a tour of various compost systems available so you can discover which are right for you
- Discuss yard waste compost versus food waste compost
- Look inside a worm bin and explore how to build a hot compost pile
This in-person session will take place outdoors and will include lecture, discussion, and a compost system tour. Class size is limited to about 15 people, and we will be following current public health recommendations. Please plan to dress for the weather.
*There are two sessions of this class. This page is for registration in South Seattle – you can register for the North Seattle class which is on November 4 here.
