Compost happens in so many ways! Join us for a hands-on learning experience where we’ll cover many of them. In this class you’ll discover methods for composting both food scraps and garden debris, with useful information for everyone – whether you have a garden or not.

In this workshop, you’ll learn about:

  • Small compost systems that can even be used indoors
  • How to make and use compost tea, bokashi, and vermicompost
  • What is biochar and how it is useful in the compost pile
  • Biology basics for the composting curious

Activities in this session include:

  • Worm bin maintenance
  • Bokashi demonstration and application
  • Hot composting

This in-person class will feature an interactive lecture with slide show, a compost system tour, hands-on activities, and time for questions and answers with the instructor. A detailed outline with recommended resources will also be provided.
