Raymond (he/him) grew up in a mixed-race family in Seattle, a proud graduate of Franklin High School. He earned a BA in Biology from Harvard and an MEd from the University of Washington. He taught science in Seattle, Atlanta and Curaçao. A lifelong grower, he cofounded Black Farmers Collective and serves as Managing Director, to support the development of Yes Farm in Seattle. A lease with King County secured the land for Small Axe farm in Redmond, an incubator farm to support Black producers. Raymond enjoys traveling with his family and experiencing the beauty of the northwest.
