Nate Lewis
As Washington Farmland Trust’s South Sound Conservation Manager, Nate leads the Trust’s farmland conservation activities from Seattle south to the Oregon border. He is responsible for building partnerships with federal, state and local agencies, identifying and nurturing farmland preservation projects, and closing conservation easements. In addition to his work at Washington Farmland Trust, Nate and his wife own and operate an organic poultry, crop and willow farm in Olympia, WA (Oyster Bay Farm), and he serves on the National Organic Standards Board in one of the three Resource Conservation seats. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science from The Evergreen State College in organic chemistry and agricultural science.
