Mary Harrington is a graduate of Miami University and The Evergreen State College and has extensive experience in waste reduction, recycling, and organics management. She is the Organic Materials Management Lead for the Washington Department of Ecology (HQ- Lacey) where she works to improve statewide source reduction of organic wastes and diversion of organic residuals to beneficial end uses including composting, anaerobic digestion, vermicomposting, and biochar.
