Marina holds a BS in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Vermont and a MS in Sustainable Food Systems from Green Mountain College. Before coming to Oregon Tilth, Marina taught farm and food classes for all ages and worked for a nonprofit that supports food sovereignty and agricultural development projects with coffee farmers in Guatemala. Today, Marina works to expand the support network for organic producers and help them meet their conservation goals through programs offered by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.
