Mariah DeLeo is the Good Food Economy Program Director at Seattle Good Business Network. She has launched, collaborates on, and facilitates a robust number of initiatives to create and strengthen connections among the regional food community and build a sustainable, resilient, and just local food economy. These include an online peer-sharing community, annual food system conference, regional dining campaign, food assistance program, food rescue marketplace, and the largest statewide directory of food & farm businesses. She comes to this work with over 25 years experience in natural foods retail and sustainability, at Marlene’s Market & Deli and later at Chinook Book, building a network of businesses committed to shared values of environmental and social responsibility.
