Elliot Smith

Elliott co-founded Kitchen Sync Strategies (KSS) in 2019 on the belief that people- and institutions- should be in relationship with their food and farmers. Through Kitchen Sync, he is focused on connecting small farms and food businesses to institutions like K-12 schools, hospitals, and universities as a key strategy in building resilient value chains and regional food economies. KSS supports buyers seeking to make impacts with their procurement, suppliers like regional food hubs and food hub networks seeking to enter the institutional food market channel, and supporters of values-based food systems. Since 2021, KSS has sold over $3 million of food from food hubs to institutions in multiple regions, and we are active in advancing food hub networks across the Northwest, Mountain West, Midwest, and islands.
