A Story of Soil Regeneration, Profits, and Life

  • Date: Thursday, November 13
  • Time: 8-9:30 a.m.
  • Speaker: Vivian Kaloxilos, Docterre
  • Location: Great Room
  • Tracks: Farm & Food Symposium, Keynote

In this featured case study, Vivian Kaloxilos will walk participants through a real-world example of regenerative transformation. She will share how farms shifted from conventional practices to biology-first systems—detailing soil metrics, crop performance, input reductions, and economic outcomes. Beyond agronomics, Vivian will tell the story of life returning to fields (biodiversity, microbial vitality) and how this regenerative trajectory aligns with farm profitability and resilience.

About the Speaker

  • Vivian Kaloxilos

    Docterre

Vivian Kaloxilos is an ecologist, who specializes in soil ecology, and founder of Docterre, where she’s been helping farmers regenerate soil life and build resilient ecosystems since 2015. With over a decade of experience with microscopy, she has witnessed and documented life and biodiversity as it bounces back from states of degradation. She also brings practical, on-farm expertise in composting, liquid extracts and ecological systems thinking. Vivian has worked alongside regenerative leaders like Todd Harrington and Ray Archuleta, supporting farmers across the globe. A former mentor for Dr. Elaine Ingham’s soil consultants, she’s deeply committed to empowering producers with the tools, knowledge and support needed to restore the natural balance and lead a thriving, farmer-driven regenerative movement.
